For 115 years and counting, The Cabbage Patch has been a faithful fixture in the Louisville community, serving children and families and changing countless lives. Recently, the Courier Journal, which has documented the living history of The Patch from the start, visited to see how our ministry has adapted and evolved over the course of time. The article dives into the history, impact, and legacy of The Cabbage Patch as seen through the eyes of the people we serve. Though there have been many changes in the neighborhood and historical events that have shaped our community, one thing remains the same: The Cabbage Patch is here for everyone. We are grateful to our two Patch alumni featured in the story — Danielle Ruffin and Denis Steward — who shared the influence The Cabbage Patch has had on their lives.
