P – Personal Development and Growth
From leadership skills to personal accountability, children and youth learn how to have a positive impact. Through areas such as performing and visual arts, theater, Teen Club, and cultural heritage weeks, Patch kids discover how to embrace diversity, explore new interests, and build meaningful friendships.
A – Academic Preparedness and Learning
One-on-one tutoring, S.T.E.M. Club and hands-on learning initiatives help Patch kids excel in school and embrace curiosity. As former longtime staff member Roosevelt Chin used to say, “You don’t work your way out of poverty, you educate your way out!”
T – Teamwork and Leadership
Patch kids learn to work together and lead by example through programs like Teen Leadership, Entrepreneurship Camp and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
C – College and Career Exploration
Through ACT/SAT test prep, college campus tours and help with college applications, young people learn how to navigate their next steps after graduation.
H – Health and Support
We believe every child deserves to be their best self and promote childhood health and wholeness. Programs like Seed to Table, Chef Camp and our Food Pantry help children develop good nutrition habits, while activities like Fitness Fest and sports camps teach an active lifestyle.
