Preparing Youth for the World of Tomorrow

  • News

Almost any Cabbage Patch alumnus will tell you that once you are a Patcher, you are a Patcher for life! Our staff members frequently seek out former members to see how they are doing, and we find many success stories along the way. One amazing role model is recently graduated Cabbage Patch College Scholar Evan Packer who, after completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Kentucky, is now in a Master’s program at George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs. Here is what Evan had to say about how The Cabbage Patch helped prepare him for a successful future:

“The Cabbage Patch has been one of the most instrumental influences on my life and I attribute a lot of the person that I am today to mentors that took me under their wings while there. I’m currently working on my Master’s program at George Washington University’s Elliott School of International Affairs in Washington DC while focusing on Security Policy Studies with concentrations in Transnational Security and U.S. Foreign Policy. I have about a year and a half left on the program and honestly, I am loving every minute of it. I heard that the UK Scholar program has been going well and it makes me happy to hear that the Cabbage Patch is preparing strong and intellectually minded youth for the world of tomorrow. Thank you for supporting me and the rest of the Cabbage Patch students all these years.”

Do you want to help prepare children for a future as bright as Evan’s with a gift to the annual fund, establishing a named fund or including The Cabbage Patch in your estate plan? Consider a donation to help support our life-changing programs!
