Insider Louisville
Insider Louisville is a unique non-profit news organization, and they welcomed our camp to their beautiful downtown office. Campers were initially impressed with the office dog, and they had a very interesting discussion with insider Louisville’s journalists.
One camper asked how they handle it when someone gives their story a bad review or attacks their evidence. . The reporters responded that they only respond to constructive criticism and ignore the rest. Another camper responded, “That sounds like being in middle school!”

Another media leader who has provided ongoing support to The Patch is PriceWeber, a digital-forward, full-service marketing and advertising agency. During a visit to their office, our Media Moguls were treated to an interactive learning experience during which they created advertisements for The Patch! PriceWeber is a generous ongoing partner who has spent countless hours helping with The Patch’s website needs, and they even host s’mores parties for the children!

Other local media organizations that welcomed our Media Moguls camp included WAVE news and Alpha Media, and radio and TV personality Chea Woolfolk also led a workshop. A camper said of his experience talking on the radio: “I want a lot of people to know me, because I like to be famous!” It will be exciting to see the many ways that our Media Moguls make their voices heard in the future!
