Pokémon Have Invaded Old Louisville!

Do you play Pokémon Go? Do you have kids who want you to take them Pokémon hunting, but you don’t know where to start? Old Louisville has a Pokémon-friendly, walk-able route that is beautiful and full of Poké Stops where you can power up…including one at The Cabbage Patch!

Pokemon Go

We suggest that you start by entering Central Park from 6th Street. Walk toward the Central Park water feature – there’s your first Poké Stop! Power up and continue toward the amphitheater, watching for sidewalk construction. Poké Stops can be found at the Douglas Romey Monument and the Central Park Garden Arbor. High level players can use the “gym” at the amphitheater! Follow the paved path along 4th Street and enjoy the park while looking for Pokémon along the way.

Exit the park and cross the street at Magnolia. A stroll down St. James Court reveals Poké Stops at both St. James Court lions, the Southern Exposition plaque, the fountain, and the lamplighter statue. We captured several Pokémon along the way on a recent morning!

Turn right at Belgravia, heading toward 6th Street. Turn right on 6th Street, heading back toward Central Park. Visit your last Poké Stop at The Cabbage Patch! While you are at it, stop in and drop off a canned food item for our pantry.

We hope this is a useful guide to enjoying Pokémon Go in your neighborhood. Do you have a favorite Poké Stop in Old Louisville?
